Occupational Therapy from a Mother’s Perspective
I recently interviewed a wonderful woman whom I respect and admire. I met her over four years ago when I first started working with her and her son in occupational therapy. She and her husband brought their son to OT first seeking support for anger, aggression, and safety concerns. Across the years, we have worked on so much more including picky eating, flexible thinking, impulse control, problem-solving, and attention, just to name a few. We have explored therapy from a sensory integrative perspective, an attachment theory model, and of course through the influence of integrative medicine. Watch the video and hear about this mother’s experience in her own words.
