Individual Therapies

My individual offerings include in-home, in-clinic, and telehealth sessions for family-based pediatric therapy or for adults who would benefit from treatment.

In-home therapy offers the opportunity for me to not only see the physical environment in which you live but to understand your daily routines and the demands you face. Together, we can discover how to use your space, your time, your rituals, and your connections to help shape an organized nervous system and foster physical and emotional wellness.

In-clinic services offer a sacred space for our work together. My clinic is simple, home-like, and has plenty of space for movement, imagination, and connection (with self and others). The majority of evaluations will occur in your home, and together we will determine if in-home or in-clinic services will be the best fit.

Telehealth services are primary used by Wisconsin families who live too far away to see each other in person. Sessions are highly interactive and effective despite being done virtually. Families are always welcome to schedule a virtual intake meeting with me to get a feel for the virtual experience.

Children

Working with children and families has been the major focus of my career. I have worked with children as young as a few months old through the teen years. I see a child as a part of the family system, and thus, my therapy includes work with both the child and caregiver(s). While sensory integrative techniques for the child is an important component to treatment, I also emphasize parent education in both development and parenting strategies. Raising “differently wired” kids can be a tough job. While there is no parenting manual for any child, it can often feel even more perplexing and overwhelming to know how to respond, talk to, and teach a child whose body and brain work differently. I am here to not only help your child develop a more organized nervous system but also to impart knowledge and strategies so that you can approach parenting from a place of confidence and wholeheartedness. Together, we will explore body-, routine-, and relationship-based strategies that provide the just-right “ingredients” for your child’s  unique “magic recipe” so that your child and family can experience greater ease, independence, and fulfillment in your lives.

Adults

While receiving my master’s degree, I was introduced to the idea of correlating sensory differences to chronic illness in adulthood. That thread of knowledge has followed me throughout my career. It makes sense to me—sensory processing challenges cause undue stress on the nervous system. This, over time, can erode the emotional landscape in the brain and impact inflammatory and immune responses through the gut-brain axis and principles from psychoneuroimmunology. I personally have experienced the journey of chronic illness that was likely rooted in sensory differences and food intolerances. I am here to offer education, body-based strategies and lifestyle redesign techniques to transform your daily experience. My wish for you is to lead the life you dreamed of and be able to show up with resilience, happiness, and confidence. Together we will create an individualized plan that will help rewire your body and brain so you can start living your best life while you’re still alive.
